What, When & Where to Donate

We rely on the entire community of Washington County to make this ministry a success.  We receive donations not only from our church partners but also from:
  • individuals & families
  • businesses
  • organizations & service groups
  • private foundations
Donations we joyfully accept:

Volunteer Time
Monetary Donations (our regular monthly donors are the backbone of our operating budget!)
Planned giving, legacy, or memorial gifts
Food
: non-perishables, frozen meat, farm fresh eggs, fresh seasonal produce and more
Winter coats              Bedding
Medical Equipment/supplies
Furniture/beds          School Supplies/backpacks
Housewares
(pots, pans, dishes, flatware, glasses, towels, etc.)
Personal Hygiene Items
Household Cleaning Supplies
Gas Vouchers

Rule of Thumb = Just the Basics, Please!

With the exception of our medical equipment ministry and our School Supply and Backpack ministry,
we try to meet basic household needs of families. For this reason, there are things we cannot accept.
When & Where
  • Donations may be brought by our office at 722 W Idaho St. in Weiser.
  • During office hours is best but since we have limited hours, please feel free to leave small donations on our covered back porch.
  • For large items like furniture, please call, we can usually arrange for a team of volunteers to pick it up!
  • Please do not leave large quantities or large items in our parking lot or the alley. Thank you!

We cannot accept
  • Unsold items from a yard sale
  • Electronics
  • Books
  • Toys
  • Knick Knacks
  • Picture Frames
  • Vases
  • Decorations (Christmas or home decor)
  • Building supplies
  • Clothing (We partner with the WICAP thrift store - please consider taking your clothing to them!)
We recommend you pass these items on to an appropriate thrift/secondhand shop in town or another area charity that operates a resale shop.
We suggest: WICAP, Rose Advocates, Idaho Youth Ranch, or Community Building Supply in Ontario.
